Watershed Week
September 18 – 27, 2026

Join us in celebrating the Connecticut River Watershed Partnership’s (CRWP) second annual Watershed Week beginning on September 18, 2026. Hosted by many partners across all four watershed states, Watershed Week will increase awareness and promote recognition of the Connecticut River as a national treasure! Participants will get to know their local watershed and the organizations and volunteers who work hard to enhance, restore, and protect it. To see a list of events organized by each state, visit the CRWP website here.

The Connecticut River Museum will kick off Watershed Week with a Block Party on September 19, 2026. With a full day of free, fun, family-friendly activities and a Source to Sea Cleanup with Sustainable Essex, this is an event you don’t want to miss! Learn more here.

Throughout the week, visit the exhibits at the Museum to learn more about the history and ecology of the Connecticut River. Our new special exhibit, Rhythm of the River: Music and Memory Along the Connecticutis on view now. Come explore the sounds that have shaped life along the River through original art, photographs, sheet music, sound recordings, and more.
