PARENT/GUARDIAN MUST BE PRESENT
Did you know that weaving is widely considered one of the oldest surviving crafts in the world, dating back more than 12,000 years?
Weaving and textile creation and trade was an important part of life for the earliest settlers of the Connecticut River. Come celebrate this great tradition as you learn to weave by creating your own “friendship” bracelet. A parent or guardian must be present and is welcome to join in this wonderful project!
Bring a blanket, grab a spot on our lawn at the River’s edge and get ready to get creative. All supplies and instruction are courtesy of the Connecticut River Museum.
Pre-registration is required, and space is limited. State of Connecticut safe distancing recommendations will be followed, and we ask that all visitors wear masks or protective face covering while on our campus.
Pre-registration is required, and space is limited to the first 15 to sign up, so sign up now.
