Watermark: Capturing the Connecticut

Watermark: Capturing the Connecticut

August 15 – October 19, 2025

The exhibit and related programs will engage visitors through the work of the artists, allowing viewers to discover compelling stories about the River and connect with the landscape and communities around them. Selected artists for the exhibit are Evie Lovett, Janet Pritchard, Guy Russell, and Nancy O. Albert—one from each of the states that borders the River.

Each artist brings their own subject and style, but their work will respond to the exhibit’s overarching themes: the natural and built landscape, environmental changes, and people’s relationship with the Connecticut River and its Valley. In addition to the exhibit itself, our Education department will develop materials to engage younger audiences in close looking and observation.
