Fox and Hare were born in the spring, but the seasons are changing and they hear snow is on the way. “What is snow like?” they ask all the forest animals, and each gives a different answer. But their questions are soon answered when thick, fluffy flakes start to fall.

Swing by the Connecticut River Museum for take-home craft activities that engage kids with the Connecticut River’s stunning wildlife and rich history! Crafts will take place in the Museum’s Boathouse. A program just for kids 4+ and their caregivers, River Tales includes a story and craft activity themed around nature. In December, we’ll read A Thing Called Snow by Yuval Zommer, a charming holiday story with heartfelt themes of friendship, curiosity, and the wonder of nature.
