Join us aboard RiverQuest departing from Steamboat Dock in Essex for a relaxing cruise down the Connecticut River to view the Inner and Outer Lighthouses by water. Observe the beautiful, pristine river “One of the Last Great Places”, as we cruise by the town of Essex, ultimately reaching Old Saybrook and Old Lyme at the river mouth on Long Island Sound. We tell you about the history and ecology of the river as well as point out areas of interest and wildlife we may see.

NOTE:

For those taking this cruise who are USLHS Lighthouse Passport Stamp collectors, stamps will be available for Lynde Point and Saybrook Breakwater Lighthouses on the boat or after the cruise. These two lighthouses are finally represented by USLHS stamps as of March 27, 2020. A minimum donation to USLHS of $1 per stamped item is requested. All donations will be matched and sent to USLHS to support their lighthouse education and preservation programs.
