To commemorate the Museum’s Rising Waters: Flooding on the Connecticut River exhibit, we have gathered a panel of experts to discuss the past, present and future of flooding in the Connecticut River Valley. Join Connecticut River Museum curator Amy Trout, Connecticut Institute for Resilience & Climate Adaptation Executive Director James O’Donnell, and NBC meteorologist Steve Glazier to learn more about how to protect our communities from danger.

Our moderator for this panel will be Andy Horowitz, Connecticut State Historian. Andy is also an Associate Professor of History at the University of Connecticut and the author of Katrina: A History, 1915–2015 (Harvard University Press, 2020), which won the Bancroft Prize for American History, and the co-editor of Critical Disaster Studies (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2021).
