Have you ever wondered how sailors used the stars to navigate the treacherous seas? Join Captain Bob Craft in the Connecticut River Museum’s candle-lit historic Lay-Masin House for an exciting introduction to celestial navigation!
Captain Bob will present the basic principles of the world’s original GPS – Celestial Navigation – and explore how today’s methods used for determining position at sea grew out of work done by navigators back in the 1830s. Attendees are sure to walk away with a deeper appreciation of the night sky!
This is a limited capacity event. Tickets must be purchased in advance through the Museum’s website at this link.
