River Tales: They Call Me River
11:00 – 12:00 pm
Child + Adult Members: $5.00
Child + Adult Non-Members: $8.00
The journey of a flowing river begins with a single drop of rain. By following a river’s life cycle as it slowly but surely makes its way to sea, children learn about both the water cycle and the journeys humans take as they grow and change throughout their lives.
A program just for kids 4+ and their caregivers, River Tales includes a story, a craft activity, and an opportunity to explore the Connecticut River Museum’s exhibits through a scavenger hunt. In May, we’ll read “They Call Me River” by Emmy Award-winning animator Maciek Albrecht, a “beautiful and moving tribute” to rivers with “songlike writing and striking artwork.”
All River Tales reservations include museum admission for one adult and one child and must be purchased in advance. Children MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian during this event.
