CANCELLED: Trees in the Rigging
November 28, 2021 @ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Sunday, November 28, 2021
4:30 – 6:30 pm
The Essex Board of Trade, the Connecticut River Museum, and the Essex Historical Society
have reached the painful decision to not hold the Trees in the Rigging parades this year, either on land or water.
Trees in the Rigging Boat Parade
Kick off the season in Essex with the annual TREES IN THE RIGGING Boat Parade. Following the Town of Essex Pandemic Task Force guidance, this year’s event will feature the on-water boat parade and the traditional, lantern-lit stroll down Main Street, but without caroling. To keep Santa and his elves safe, they will also be part of the on-water parade only. You can still make your own lantern! Click this link – Homemade Lantern Directions and follow the directions!
There is no better way to safely distance yourself from crowds than to float in your boat! This is the year to register your boat and be part of the on-water parade! To register your boat for the parade please e-mail Allison Insall at ainsall@ctrivermuseum.org
The Connecticut River Museum will be open this evening for all to attend the 28th Annual Holiday Train Show. Our Museum Shop is open for Museum Shop Sunday. Remember that members always receive 10% off in our shop.
The Connecticut River Museum, the Essex Board of Trade, and the Essex Historical Society all proudly sponsor this event.
