In order to maintain best social distance practices, we need to limit the number attending our Thursday On The Dock performances. The number allowed on the lawn is dictated by CT State regulations. Thank you for your understanding during these uncommon times.

Now in its 11^th year, Thursday’s on the Dock continues to rock the River! Each Thursday night in the summer, the foot of Main Street in Essex is the place to be from 5:30 –7:30 pm. We have a fabulous lineup this year thanks to our presenting sponsor, Prive Swiss Wellness.

The United States Coast Guard Dixieland Jazz Band was organized in 1970 to perform classic jazz, blues, and rags with a “New Orleans” flavor. The Dixieland Jazz Band has entertained audiences across America, in the former Soviet Union, England, Japan, and Taiwan. Notable venues include Preservation Hall in New Orleans, Times Square in New York City, the Blue Note Club in Taipei (Taiwan), the Embarcadero in San Francisco, the John F. Kennedy Center Millennium Stage in Washington, D.C., and Mardi Gras in New Orleans. The Band appeared at prestigious Traditional Jazz Festivals in Sacramento, California; Sun Valley, Idaho; and Washington, DC. The six-member group has also performed on numerous radio and television broadcasts across the nation, including CBS News This Morning and Fox and Friends.

From July 16 through September 10, guests can listen to music, get a FREE massage, taste a new beverage, and take in our gorgeous waterfront views. These events are free, although we do pass a hat to enable us to continue the tradition.

Beer and wine are available for purchase. Porky Pete’s BBQ is onsite with options for your dinner or snacks.
