DESCRIPTION:Thursdays on the Dock\nSmall Pond All Stars\nThursday\, July 16\, 2020\n5:30 – 7:30 pm\nWe are at CAPACITY  for this show. Please feel free to stop by and see if there are any last minute openings! \nIn order to maintain best social distance practices\, we need to limit the number attending our Thursday On The Dock performances. The number allowed on the lawn is dictated by CT State regulations. Thank you for your understanding during these uncommon times. \nNow in its 11th year\, Thursday’s on the Dock continues to rock the River! Each Thursday night in the summer\, the foot of Main Street in Essex is the place to be from 5:30 –7:30 pm. We have a fabulous lineup this year thanks to our presenting sponsor\, Prive Swiss Wellness. \nThis week’s band is the Small Pond All Stars\, a popular local music group that has played at the Old Lyme Inn and Gelston House\, among other venues\, performing light jazz and old rock favorites that get people singing and dancing. Best of all\, our favorite Model Train Artist and Historian\, Steve Cryan\, plays with this band! \nFrom July 16 through September 10\, guests can listen to music\, get a FREE massage\, taste a new beverage\, and take in our gorgeous waterfront views. These events are free\, although we do pass a hat to enable us to continue the tradition. \nBeer and wine are available for purchase. Porky Pete’s BBQ is onsite with options for your dinner or snacks. \nPlease no BYOB. \nWe are at CAPACITY  for this show. Please feel free to stop by and see if there are any last minute openings!

SUMMARY:Onrust River Cruises
DESCRIPTION:Sail on the Onrust from June 20 through October 25\, 2020 \nThe Connecticut River Museum hosts the Onrust\, a re-creation of the vessel Adriaen Block built in 1614.  Now in its fourth year on our docks\, Onrust is available for public cruises and private charters through October 25. \nBuilt over several years in upstate New York using traditional plans and means\, the Onrust is a wholly unique ship that serves to educate and entertain visitors curious about the age of exploration\, the fur trade\, and our early colonial history. \nRiver cruises are offered Thursdays through Mondays. While at dock\, the Onrust is available for exploration. (based on staff availability)
