Based in part on her new book Awakenings and Revolutions: The Harts\, Saybrook\, and the New Nation\, historian Elizabeth Normen will talk about the Connecticut River’s maritime contributions to the Revolutionary War. She’ll discuss the Connecticut State Navy\, privateering\, the local loyalist-on-patriot action known as the whaleboat wars\, and more. \nSigned copies of Awakenings and Revolutions: The Harts\, Saybrook\, and the New Nation will be available for sale in the museum shop.
