Check in at the front desk upon arrival. \n \nHave you ever wondered how people used to travel up and down the Connecticut River before Google Maps? Come by the Connecticut River Museum on November 7 for storytime and a craft activity designed for young learners! We’ll read Stargazers\, a picture book by Gail Gibbons\, and learn all about the stars that can be seen above the Connecticut River.  \nFollowing the story\, young learners and their caregivers will have the opportunity to make their own River Night Sky by using glow-in-the-dark stickers to create constellations such as Pegasus\, Andromeda\, and Pisces.

Be among the first to hear his compositions at this World Premiere as we bring to a close our first annual Artist-in-Residence program. \nTicket Prices:\nMembers: $15 (one complimentary beverage included)\nNon-members: $20 (one complimentary beverage included)\nStudent: $10 (Alcohol not included. Every fall\, artist and train enthusiast Steve Cryan unveils a new model train layout\, signaling the start of the holiday season at the Connecticut River Museum. Cryan transforms the third floor of the Museum into a wonderland of locomotives\, with a large model landscape speckled with intricate buildings\, trains speeding by on tracks\, and boats moored on the Connecticut River. His intricate minitature world of trains enthralls the crowds of people who make a visit to the “train show” an annual family tradition. \nVisitors can participate in a scavenger hunt while exploring the history of the locomotives that used to run up and down the banks of the Connecticut River through Steve Cryan’s detailed display.
